Oak Harbor Golf Course
201 Oak Harbor Dr.
985-646-0110
This course was built on hilly terrain, but its main features are the water hazards
that come into play on fourteen of the eighteen holes. Most of the fairways are lined with
trees that haven't matured enough to pose any real threat, but they are also bordered by a
standard cut of rough, so shot accuracy from off the tees is still vital. The fast greens
are large and some of them are quite undulating. In addition, there are over fifty sand
bunkers on the course. "Golf Digest" rated this course as the 3rd "Best
Public Course" in the state for 1996. The ladies` tee does not have a slope or course
rating.

Pinewood Country Club
405 Country Club Blvd.
985-643-6892
This course features numerous thick trees lining its
fairways that can alter your shots. The greens are small and fast. The signature hole is
#18, a 570-yard, par 5, featuring out-of-bounds on the left, and a fairway bunker and a
pond on the right side of the fairway. The hole usually plays into a prevailing wind,
making it play much longer than the actual yardage indicates. The club occasionally has
night golfing available, check with the pro shop for dates of availability. The fairway on
hole #1 was redesigned in early 1997 to make room for a new driving range.

Royal Golf Course
201 Royal Dr.
985-643-3000
This course is always kept in excellent condition. The front nine
is longer than the back nine because the back nine was designed to play through large
estates. The back nine fairways are very tight in some areas. The greens are in great
shape, and there are no sand bunkers anywhere on the course. Water hazards come into play
on eight of the eighteen holes, so be sure to bring plenty of extra balls.
